Labor education is an organic part of primary and secondary education.In 2015,the Ministry of education,together with the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the National Youth Work Committee,issued the opinions on strengthening labor education in primary and secondary schools,which requires strengthening labor education,improving the labor literacy of the majority of primary and secondary school students,and promoting them to form good labor habits and positive labor dynamics.It is in this context that I discuss the value and current situation of labor education in primary and secondary schools.Firstly,this paper analyzes the connotation and value of labor education in primary and secondary schools.Labor education in primary and secondary schools is a continuous learning process combining theory and practice of labor education for primary and secondary school students.It aims to make primary and secondary school students contact labor as soon as possible,form correct labor concept,and cultivate the labor literacy of primary and secondary school students.The value of labor education in primary and secondary schools includes noumenon value and tool value.Noumenon value means that labor education can promote the overall development and personality development of primary and secondary school students;it can promote the socialization of individuals;it can improve the happiness of primary and secondary school students.Tool value means that labor education can prepare for the training of qualified workers,create social wealth and promote social division of labor,renew social concepts and create a social atmosphere that loves labor.In order to deeply understand the current situation of labor education in primary and secondary schools,I choose students,teachers and parents from 9 primary and secondary schools in Nanchang County,Jiangxi Province as the object,from the aspects of labor literacy of primary and secondary school students,implementation of labor education,attitude of teachers and parents to labor education.The survey found that the main problems of labor education in primary and secondary schools in the county are: the gap between urban and rural primary and secondary school students' labor literacy is large,the difference between urban and rural school labor courses and the degree of attention is obvious,some schools do not set up labor courses according to regulations,teachers and parents do not establish a common sense of responsibility for students' labor education,etc.The causes of labor education problems in primary and secondary schools are: the influence of exam oriented education;the lack of attention to labor education in urban schools;the limited conditions of labor education in urban schools;the lack of common sense of cooperation in labor education between teachers and parents,etc.On this basis,the paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the labor education in primary and secondary schools: scientific determination of the goal of labor education;active creation of the conditions of labor education;reasonable selection of the content of labor education;proper arrangement of the path of labor education.
