A Study On The Intervention Of Case Work In Improving The Resilience Of Poor Single Mothers

Resilience is the ability of individuals to rationally make constructive and positive choices and deal with adversity in the face of adversity.People with high resilience tend to face adversity more effectively.Poor single mothers have difficulties in employment,children's education,medical care and so on.They often find it difficult to extricate themselves in frustration situations,resulting in psychological and behavioral problems,which are not conducive to their life and development.Improving the resilience of poor single mothers is an important way to enhance their ability to help themselves and to extricate themselves from poverty.In the past,the research on how to use case work method to improve the resilience of poor single mothers has different perspectives.At present,the main point of view is to recognize the role of social support in promoting resilience,but there are few studies on how to use social support to stimulate and strengthen the protective factors of resilience,and also lack of reflection on the role of social support in improving the resilience of poor single mothers.In order to further improve the quality of social work and improve the effect of case intervention of poor single mothers,this paper takes the poor single mothers in N Town,Zhongshan City,Guangdong Province as the specific research object,from the perspective of stress resistance theory.Through visits and investigations to grasp the real situation of poor single mothers,formulate targeted case service strategies,by helping poor single mothers to improve their resilience to get rid of life difficulties,to achieve the purpose of helping others and self-help.This paper is divided into the following parts: the first part is the introduction,which introduces the background,significance and methods of the research,the current research situation of single mothers at home and abroad,and the theory of stress resistance of poor single mothers,which lays a theoretical foundation for the research of this paper.The second part investigates the current situation of stress resistance of poor single mothers in N Town,Zhongshan City,and introduces the existing social support in Zhongshan City.The third part uses the casework method to intervene and help the poor single mother in N Town,Zhongshan City,in order to enhance their resilience.The fourth part summarizes the research results of the paper and reflects on the effect of intervention.Through the research,it is concluded that casework has a significant effect in enhancing the resilience of poor single mothers,and social support can stimulate and strengthen the protective factors of stress resistance.The promotion of social support against adversity is attributed to the internal protection factors and the intermediary conversion rate of self-efficacy,and there is repetition in the promotion of social support against adversity.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on social support to improve the resilience of poor single mothers,and thinks that in addition to supporting policies,supplementary provisions should be made to provide room for manoeuvre and explanation for social support policies.
