As the change of family structure in recent years, more and more single parent families and single parent families accounted for a larger proportion of single-parent families, and increase the number of single mothers. Female poverty problem is also very serious,and this is exacerbated by the trend of the gender inequality to some extent. Therefore, it is necessary for reaching the poverty problem of the urban poverty groups. The single mother from urban poverty population pressure according to action mechanism of gender article discussed from single change to the impoverishment of deep root, and provide reference for the related policy of gender equality.In this paper, from a gender perspective, using qualitative research method, analyze the pressure performance, factors and consequences of the urban poor single mothers, revealing the sex of the pressure response function mechanism, and discusses the construction of social support system in urban poor single mothers on the basis of field survey. This study has important theoretical significance and practical significance. On the one hand, the social gender perspective combined with coping theory, helps to reveal female from single change to the impoverishment of the gender mechanism of the role of coping, further promote the study of coping mechanisms and social gender inequality mechanism research. Stilettos to the female, on the other hand, weak social status of gender inequality mechanism, also can to ease the pressure of the single women to provide some references, can urge relevant policies in policy at the same time, help to basic state policies to promote gender equality and gender mainstreaming strategy implementation.This study found that mainly include the following: First, the urban poverty single mothers face two factors : the objective difficulties and subjective experience. Second, according to the problem of attribution of two dimensional orientation and cognitive behavioral orientation, urban poor single mothers’ coping strategies are divided into four ideal types, respectively is self adjustment, actively strive for capitulate, negative, complaining about society. Single mothers from single change to the third, the urban poverty poverty is the external structural stress mechanism and internal disability continued negative interaction between accumulation mechanism and strengthen the result of each other. Fourth, the role of coping mechanism of gender social consequences of interaction is insufficient manpower capital and social capital and institutional capital. Role in stress coping mechanism of gender, social status of women has not been radically improved, the problem of gender inequality has not been substantial change, most women easily stuck in poverty, in single event become vulnerable groups in society, in fact, caused the new female groups of inequality. To this end, this paper argues that starting from the social work intervention of gender empowerment construct single mothers and urban poor groups of social support system, single mothers assist urban poverty group development ability, to obtain resources and opportunities, overcome power obstacle, eventually relieve stress to improve social status.In this paper, the innovations are mainly concentrated in the following two aspects: first, from the role of external structural factors and internal factors of combining the Angle of view to analyze the urban poor single mothers’ coping, expand the research scope to a certain extent. Second, the combination of social gender theory and coping theory, single mothers help to explore urban poverty from single change to the impoverishment of the pressure response function engender mechanism and social gender mainstreaming strategy, helps to reveal the formation mechanism of gender inequality.
