The "Material Study" column is a significant auxiliary column in the auxiliary text system of the junior high school history textbook.It can not only consolidate and deepen the text content,but also improve and train students' abilities.On the one hand,compared with the column of pure materials,it highlights the cultivation of question awareness.On the other hand,compared with thinking questions after class,there is an emphasis on timely testing and consolidating new knowledge.In addition,there are various "materials research" columns.From the description,including historical writings,poems,famous celebrities and their words,legal documents and other materials,it will help to cultivate students' understanding of history and the historical learning view that conclusion is derived from history itself.In terms of types,it includes various materials such as text materials,graphic materials,and picture materials,which can help stimulate students' interest and improve their ability to analyze materials and make logical judgments.In terms of questions,it cove*rs a variety of questions,such as brief answer questions,essay questions,closed questions,and open questions,which help students accumulate experience in answering questions,and enhance students' ability to take exams and diverge thinking.The setting of the "Material Study" column plays an important role in students' learning,teachers' teaching,and the cultivation of historical core literacy.In terms of students' learning,it helps to increase students' interest in learning.Besides,it helps to expand basic historical knowledge,cultivate students' autonomous learning consciousness,improve students' inquiry ability,and improve their ability to analyze materials.In terms of teachers' teaching,it helps teachers to change their teaching concepts and is in line with the concept of new curriculum reform.It changes the teacher from the inculcator of the classroom into the guide of the classroom;links the history class in the middle school with the history subject of the middle school entrance examination.In terms of historical core literacy,students are trained in the five core literacy: historical materialism,historical evidence,historical interpretation,time and space concepts,and national feelings.At the same time,this paper discusses the principles of moderation,openness and pertinence when setting up the column of "material study".It also analyzes the application of the "Materials Study" column in history teaching.For instance,how to use it in the introduction of new courses and the use of text teaching.For the "Materials Study" column,there are also some issues worthy of reflection,and the author also analyzes them.Part of the material content does not match the students' understanding ability;the material form is mainly written materials,and the form is too single;the source of historical data is not accurately identified,and some history teachers ignore the use of the "material study" column due to their own lack of professionalism.In view of the existing deficiencies,the author also put forward corresponding suggestions to optimize the "Materials Study" column.
