"Material Study" is a new column in the unified edition of the junior high school history textbook.Its setting meets the requirements of the history curriculum standards to cultivate students' ability to read and analyze historical materials.It is of great significance to students' history learning and teachers' classroom teaching.Through the statistical analysis of the "Material Study" column,from the perspective of classification,the "Material Study" column can be divided into pure text,picture and text combination and chart in terms of presentation methods;from the type of material selection,this column can be divided into historical documents,celebrity works and records,literary and artistic works,newspapers and magazines,and documents and letters;from the perspective of problem presentation,this column can be further divided into simple material analysis,material analysis combined with learned knowledge,and material analysis combined with personal attitude.Compared with other columns in the text auxiliary system of the unified edition junior high school history textbook,the setting of the "Material Study" column is closely based on the key and difficult knowledge in the text,and has the outstanding characteristics of rich content and reliable sources.In addition,the problem setting after the material also shows a strong comprehensiveness.In the process of studying history,on the one hand,this column helps students to deepen their understanding of the text and strengthen their knowledge memory;on the other hand,the combination of material and questions in this column can also inspire students to think deeply to a certain extent,so as to achieve the purpose of improving students' historical literacy.From a teacher's perspective,the "Material Study" column fully indicates the "study book" function of the unified edition junior high school history textbook,and the setting of this column can play a certain auxiliary role in the teachers' history teaching.In the actual teaching application process,the "Material Study" column has problems such as students' difficulty in understanding and improper learning methods,teachers' single teaching method and inadequate use of classroom time.In response to the above problems,this paper proposes teaching application suggestions for teachers to stimulate students' interest,set up Lead-in of classes,make full use of materials,enrich teaching content,combine key and difficult points,and set up after-class exercises.Besides,this paper puts forward a series of improvement suggestions,such as students can appropriately increase the reading amount of historical materials and teachers can strengthen guidance,in order to provide some reference and reference for the front-line history educators to use the "Material Study" column.
