Kate Millett,as a representative of feminist ideas,has far-reaching implications.The publication of the representative work "Sexual Politics" marks the birth of the first academic feminist theoretical work and becomes a milestone in feminist criticism.Its radical and profound thoughts promote the formation of radical feminism.Therefore,Millett and Sexual Politics are important figures and works that must be squarely addressed when studying feminist ideas and feminist literary theories.Millett's feminist ideology is concentrated in the book "Sexual Politics".The book "Sexual Politics" is divided into three parts: "sexual political theory","historical background" and "sexual reflection in literature".In this part of "sexual politics theory",Millett proposed that the gender relationship is a political relationship,belonging to domination and subordination,and is a universal power relationship.In the "historical background" section,Millett mainly introduces the historical situation of the feminist movement practice and proposes the "sexual revolution" theory of solving the "sexual politics" problem,so that women can also be freed from private families to obtain public political power.In the section "sexuality reflects in literature",Millett mainly introduces the criticism of gender issues in male writers as female readers."Sexual Politics" combines political and cultural criticism with literary criticism,innovatively synthesizes history,politics,society and literary studies,and produces a new method of feminist literary criticism,constructing a resistive reading style.Around this text,the author interprets from three aspects: “political review of both sexes”,“literary criticism of both sexes” and “female identity”.First,Explain that Millett seeks to interpret the source of the relationship between the two sexes from the perspective of political discourse,and then specifically discusses Millett's political review of the relationship between the two sexes,that is,the proposed "sexual politics" theory and the conception of the "sexual revolution."
