High frequency of job burnout of university counselors became a serious social problem that can not be ignored.This study took full-time university counselors as the research object,and investigated the present situation of job burnout of university counselors,and explored the relationship between job burnout,role stress and organizational support so as to alleviate the pressure of the job burnout of university counselors and reduce role stress to find a new way.The Findings:Firstly,the self-designed Questionnaire of Perceived Organizational Support of University Counselors included 20 projects and contained 4 dimensions:the work support,value identification,interest care and the team support,which had relatively good reliability and validity.Secondly,the revised Questionnaire of Role Pressure of College Counselor had a reasonable structure,which included 11 projects and contained 3 dimensions:role conflict,quantitative role overload and qualitative role overload.Thirdly,the overall value of the role pressure of college counselors was 57.45,the detection rate was 91.3%,the situation of the role pressure of college counselors was very serious,it was universal,the whole situation was at a moderate serious level.The score of the organizational support index was 64.54,Higher than the mean share was 65.1%,and the overall situation of the college counselors organizational support was better.The detection rate of occupational burnout was 84.5%,and the average was 51.08.The occupational burnout of college counselors was serious,which was in the middle and upper class.Fourthly,the job burnout of college counselors had no significant differences in age,marital status,education background and title,but had significant differences in sex,working years and demographic variables of school types.Fifthly,the role stress was positively correlated with the job burnout of college counselors,and the factors of quantitative role overload and qualitative role overload can positively predict job burnout.Sixthly,the sense of organizational support was negatively correlated with the job burnout of university counselors,and the factors of work support and team support could predict job burnout.Seventhly,the sense of organizational support of colleges was partially mediated by the role stress and job burnout.
