Social work is a kind of service activities,which is guided by altruistic values,based on scientific knowledge,and assisted by scientific methods to help people.Social work has functions of maintaining social stability,promoting social equity,meeting the basic needs of social members,improving the quality of life,preventing and solving social problems,etc.,so it is called "social lubricant".In developed countries of Europe,social work has been developed for more than 100 years,and has in a relatively advanced stage.But in China,social work had developed only after reform and opening up--a relatively short time.It is due to the emergence of many new social problems and social contradictions in China,the previous system is difficult to solve,so it is urgent to social work to prevent and solve problems to alleviate contradictions to maintain social stability.Therefore,social work as a new profession,has taken root in China.After years of development,China has made great achievements in the field of social work research,but there are still few studies on professional identity of social workers.In addition,due to the unbalanced development of social work in China,the social work in Hefei is still in initial development stage,and the relevant research on social work needs to be enriched.Therefore,this study takes the social workers in Hefei as the research object,and explores their professional identity.It is hoped that through this study,we can understand the status of professional identity of social workers in Hefei,strengthen the construction of social work team,and give some theoretical help for the development of social work in Hefei.This study adopts questionnaire investigation with the interview investigation together,a total of 120 social workers in Hefei were randomly selected to fill in the questionnaire and 10 representative social workers were selected for interview,and uses SPSS 20.0 software to analyze the collected data.Based on this,the status of professional identity of social workers in Hefei can be concluded.And then we could analyze the influencing factors and put forward corresponding counter measures.It is mainly divided into the following six aspects:The first part is the introduction,which explains the background and significance of the research,and introduces the relevant concepts and literature review involved in the research.The second part is the theoretical basis and research methods.Based on self-identity theory and social identity theory,this study collects data by literature research,questionnaire survey and interview.The third part is about the status and problems of professional identity of social workers in Hefei.120 social workers in Hefei were randomly selected to make questionnaire investigations,and the data were analyzed from three aspects:social workers'self-identity,professional identity and social identity.It is found that social workers in Hefei have low professional self-evaluation,low identification with social work institutions and low social identification.It was concluded that the professional identity of social workers was low in Hefei.The fourth part is the analysis of the reasons for the low professional identity of social workers in Hefei.According to the interview content,the reasons for the low professional identity of social workers are analyzed from three aspects:individual,organization and society.The professional skills are not high,the career planning is not clear;Salary treatment is lower,professional training effect is not ideal,development space is little,unit of choose and employ persons does not take seriously;The service object recognition degree is low,the relatives and friends recognition degree is low.The fifth part is about the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the professional identity of social workers.Social workers should strengthen professional emotion,build social support network,make appropriate career planning and strengthen professional study to improve professional ability.Social worker institutions should establish a sound salary system,strengthen social worker vocational training,improve the management and promotion mechanism,cultivate social workers from the perspective of advantages,and establish a good working environment.The government should intensify the publicity of social work,reduce the administrative affairs of social workers,increase the financial support from the government,and improve the policy construction of social work.It needs joint efforts to improve the professional identity of social workers,including the government,social work institutions and social workers,so as to accelerate the development and advance of social work in China.The last part is the conclusion.It mainly introduces the research results,research limitations and future research prospects of this paper.
