In contemporary China,with the deepening of reform and opening up and the gradual establishment of the socialist market economic system,the social services and social management functions have gradually separated and sank into the community.The role of community work has become increasingly prominent.Social workers who are the direct bearers of community development and social services have gradually become the focus of attention.They have indeed played an important role in the construction of our communities.However,with the rapid expansion of community social workers and the lack of localization theories and practices,the development of community social work has been slow,resulting in community social workers Vocational recognition is low.Therefore,studying the status of social identity of community workers in Xi'an has certain practical significance.This paper mainly surveys 100 community social workers in Beilin District of Xi'an City through questionnaires to understand the basic situation of community social workers in career selection,occupational awareness,professional emotion and career expectation.It also conducted in-depth interviews with five representative community social workers,two community directors,two community residents,and one street office worker to understand the status of professional identification from the government,community service targets,and community directors.Then from the micro level(gender,education,marital status);middle view(family support,salary and promotion space);macro(government policy,community service target,social public)to explore the influence factors of community social job professional identity.Finally,it proposes corresponding suggestions for improving the professional identity of community workers in Xi'an: on the micro level,it is necessary to improve the professional quality of community social workers so that community social workers can maintain a good attitude and actively respond to work pressure;Workplaces,improve assessment standards,establish incentives and penalties,and improve the training system;from the broader macro perspectives,we must make full use of the leading role of thegovernment;reduce the administrative color of social work in the community;and increase education in social work.
