An Investigation On The Acquisition Of Chinese Characters By Indonesian High School Students In Initial Stage

Foreign students who want to learn Chinese well must learn Chinese well,and Chinese characters are an unavoidable difficulty for foreign students to learn Chinese,as are Indonesian students.In order to explore the acquisition of Chinese characters by high school students in the initial stage of Indonesia,this study investigated the high school students in three schools in West Java,including the Depok Jakarta Christian Church School,the Bogor Kampala School in Jakarta and the Jakarta Charitas School.Their acquisition of specific Chinese characters,as well as the acquisition motivation and learning strategies of Chinese characters,and for the existing problems,put forward corresponding teaching suggestions,hoping to help Indonesian high school students acquire Chinese characters.This article is divided into five parts altogether,the introduction part mainly introduces the reason of this topic and the research significance,as well as the existing research summary about Chinese characters.The first chapter mainly introduces the teaching of Chinese in Depok Jakarta Christian Church School,Bogor Bogor School in Jakarta and CHARITAS School in Jakarta.Chapter Two examines the acquisition of specific Chinese characters,learning motivation and learning strategies of Chinese high school students by designing two questionnaires and summarizes the characteristics and existing problems of Chinese characters acquisition of high school students in three schools.In the third chapter,we put forward corresponding teaching suggestions according to the problems encountered by the Chinese high school students in the three schools drawn from the questionnaire.Chapter IV summarizes the full text.
