The number of Chinese learner is increasing. Chinese characters, as Chinese writing symbol system, are regarded as the most difficulty by most foreign students. Especially for those students from the Non-Chinese Character Cultural Sphere. In their opinion, there are too many characters with complicated strokes and various structure, and it’s difficult to master because of its complex ideographic function. Since1990s, Chinese Character teaching to foreigners began to attract researchers’attention, researchers have made systematically study from different perspectives, such as Chinese character teaching theory, noumenal research on Chinese character, cultural teaching, character acquisition, and so on. But the research and comparison between character’s education of the first stage of primary school(grade1to2) and the primary stage of teaching Chinese as a second languages(TCSL) still in the initial stage. What’s more, it has fewer achievements, and the breadth and depth of the study need more effort.Chinese primary school and TCSL have some common points. With modern standard Chinese characters as the study object, both of them are guided by education, psychology and philology, and they follow the principle of gradual improvement. All these characteristics show that TCSL can take example from Chinese primary school literacy theory and teaching methods. With the help of reasonable factors and successful practice of domestic character teaching of primary school, Chinese teachers can perfect the current Chinese Character teaching to foreigners. This paper based on the methods of the first stage of Chinese primary school and through analysis the information and questionnaires, find out the common and the different of teaching Chinese characters to Chinese primary school students and foreigners. The research findings will help to improve the weak points in teaching Chinese to foreign students and broaden and deepen the research fields of Chinese character teaching.This paper focus on the benefits of Chinese primary school’s Chinese characters education, TCSL could get some inspiration from them. The study results can offer beneficial reference in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language as well as expanding and deepening the study on Chinese Character teaching to foreigners. It can also provide a practical design for teaching scheme while the method is operated easily. |
