In 2016,the ministry-edited junior middle school Chinese textbooks put into use by the state,incorporating "outline of great books" into the textbook system,are of great significance in inheriting traditional Chinese culture,improving students' Chinese literacy and building a reading teaching system.Therefore,this paper chooses the "outline of great books" compiled by the Ministry as the research object,mainly using the methods of literature research and investigation,based on the objective,comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the current teaching situation of "outline of great books".In order to further grasp the law of "outline of great books" teaching and summarize the contents and methods of "outline of great books" teaching,this paper puts forward feasible countermeasures and suggestions for the teaching of "outline of great books" in new textbooks.The author will take the junior high school students of two schools in W city as the main research object.Quantitative research is the main research method,while qualitative research is the supplement.The questionnaires in the quantitative research are divided into two aspects:teachers' questionnaires and students' questionnaires.Interviews in qualitative research mainly focus on junior high school students' subjective feelings or ideas about some of the questions in the questionnaire,which can be used to assist in the analysis of the specific reasons for the problems.In addition,from the perspective of material reliability,the material obtained from questionnaires and interviews is supplemented or tested by the physical analysis method in qualitative research.With the help of research methods,this paper analyses the current situation,and makes a concrete analysis of the reasons for the existing problems from two aspects of teachers and students.Finally,it puts forward optimization strategies.The structure of this paper is as follows:Introduction: This part focuses on the reasons and significance of the topic,the definition of the concept and the theoretical basis,the research methods,as well as the current research situation.Chapter 1: Brief introduction to the background and significance of the reform of the "outline of great books" section of the Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,as well as the adjustment and highlights of the content and structure on the basis of PEP.It also explains the significance of the teaching section of "outline of great books" ininheriting Chinese traditional culture,improving students' Chinese literacy and building teaching system.Chapter 2: By combining quantitative and qualitative research methods,the author investigates and analyses the current situation of the guided reading of the famous works compiled by the Ministry.Combining with the concrete analysis of the present situation,the problems existing in the teaching and learning of masterpieces are summarized as follows:Teachers do not give enough guidance to students' reading of masterpieces and arouse their interest in reading;students' weak consciousness of reading subject,students' reading text is superficial and utilitarian;teachers lack guidance to students' reading methods,and lack of targeted training.Aiming at the problem of induction,this paper makes a concrete analysis of the reasons from the perspectives of teachers and students.Chapter 3: Based on the analysis of the specific reasons for the problems and the historical teaching experience of "outline of great books",this paper mainly puts forward the optimization strategies from the perspective of teachers' teaching: based on stimulating interest,attaching importance to masterpieces;teaching students the methods,in-depth reading;equal teaching,reasonable implementation;timely evaluation,multivariate measurement,and truly exerting the great charm of masterpieces.The last part is the conclusion and appendix of this paper.
