Secondary vocational education and general education is an important part of high school education in our country.Secondary vocational education aims to cultivate and develop high and intermediate skilled talents, and plays a decisive role in the development of regional economy.According to the national vocational education reform implementation plan(2019)recently promulgated by the state council,50 high-level vocational schools and 150 backbone specialties(clusters)will be built by 2022.This requirement implies the reality that there are very few high-level vocational schools in China.Higher vocational schools are still so,secondary vocational schools running at a lower level is more common. From the actual investigation,it can be seen that the teaching efficiency of cultural course is low,the education level of secondary vocational students is not high, and secondary vocational students pay little attention to the study of cultural course is a common phenomenon in secondary vocational colleges.Through literature review, the author think the secondary vocational student's academic needs to have its particularity, explore the secondary vocational student academic to the present situation, the analysis of structural characteristics of the secondary vocational student's academic needs to enrich the secondary vocational education in the field of theoretical research results about learning needs, targeted at the same time help teachers literacy class teaching reform. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the cultural learning needs of students in the field of secondary vocational education. This paper belongs to the category of empirical research. It finds the existing problems through field research, collects relevant data through interviews, questionnaires and other survey methods, and analyzes and processes relevant data by qualitative and quantitative methods.First, based on the theoretical research and the results of the open questionnaire, the core concepts are defined and the six dimensions of the cultural course learning needs of secondary vocational students are determined--the need for high-quality learning resources, the need for autonomous learning environment, the need for academic communication and understanding, the need for personalized learning, the need for aesthetic needs and the need for self-realization.Secondly,questionnaires are prepared and data collected are analyzed. With reference to the existing questionnaires, the self-compiled cultural course learning of secondary vocational students requires the initial questionnaire and the formal questionnaire.Taking Y vocational and technical school in Mianyang city as the research object, the data were collected.By using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, independent sample t test, variance analysis and other statistical methods, this paper explores the current situation of secondary vocational students' learning needs and the structural characteristics of secondary vocational students' learning needs. The results show that the students' academic study needs to be above the average level. There is no significant difference in gender, class cadre and place of origin between secondary vocational school students.Compared with male students, female students have a higher level of aesthetic needs, and the class cadre subjects have a better score in the questionnaire of self-actualization needs.Secondary vocational students have significant differences in the overall situation and grades of cultural learning needs. The total score of the questionnaire presented a "V" shape with the increase of grade. The total score of the questionnaire of the students in grade one and grade three was equal and at a high level, while that of the students in grade two was the lowest. The subjects with higher academic performance had higher level of academic learning needs, and the group with less than ideal academic performance and the group with average academic performance had lower level of academic learning needs. The study holds that the social life learning needs expressed by the school education system, especially the vocational work learning needs, have not been integrated into the learning needs of secondary vocational students.Secondary vocational schools and teachers seldom study the learning needs of secondary vocational students(including the actual learning needs of secondary vocational students and the learning needs of social life requirements); It is difficult to carry out teaching under the premise of not being familiar with the learning needs of secondary vocational students to truly improve the practical effect of secondary vocational culture teaching. At the same time, some Suggestions are put forward.
