"Group Reading" is the abbreviation of“Group Reading Teaching”,which is a kind of reading teaching method that refers to the choice of a group of texts around a topic and then the teachers organize,guide the students to read and construct around the topic and finally reach the consensus.Group reading not only brings rich forms of reading teaching but also updates and develops the concept of reading.Many provinces and cities have highly praised the teaching method of group reading in recent years but the main practice is the students in the primary and junior school education stages but few practices in the senior school stage.In fact,group reading is also suitable for senior school’ s Chinese teaching.The teaching of ancient poetry is the most important part of the senior school Chinese teaching,but the present situation of ancient poetry teaching is not optimistic.In the aspect of teaching,teachers tend to be utilitarian and pay more attention to the training of multiple exercises than the exploration of the essential law;pay more attention to the teaching of question-answering mode than the understanding and grasp of the content of poetry.When interpreting poetry,it is easy to label the author’s works and symbolize the image of poetry.There are also drawbacks in students’ learning of ancient poetry.Their reading of ancient poetry is very limited,and their reading depth is not enough.Their ability to appreciate poetry needs to be improved.Therefore,this article focuses on the feasibility and application strategies of group reading in ancient Chinese poetry teaching in senior high schools and explores relevant issues that should be paid attention to in practice.First,based on the background of the group reading teaching,the theoretical basis proposed as well as the relevant research at home and abroad,this essay thinks that the group reading teaching is completely suitable for senior school’s Chinese teaching.What’s more,this method will improve students’ abilities of reading,appreciation and expression.Besides,combined with the current problems in the teaching of ancient poetry reading in senior high schools,this essay explores the value,significance and feasibility of its application.In senior 1&2,we should attach importance to accumulation and comprehension in Chinese teaching of students,but appreciation and application in senior 3.Therefore,due to the different purposes in Chinese teaching,this essay focuses on the specific and different application strategies of group reading in the teaching of ancient poetry in non-senior three and senior three,and presents relevant teaching cases and reflections.As it was proved,the application of the group reading teaching has positive effects on teachers and students.Finally,this essay reflects and summarizes the practice of group reading teaching and mentions some problems that should be paid attention to.
