Poetry is a precious cultural treasure of the Chinese nation.Among them,Chinese modern poetry,as a special style between Chinese classical poetry and western modern poetry,has a unique aesthetic value in Chinese learning.However,in the practice of high school Chinese teaching,modern poetry teaching is often in an awkward situation of neglect.The root causes are as follows:firstly,modern poetry does not get due attention from teachers and students due to its low frequency in the college entrance examination over the years;secondly,some teachers have insufficient knowledge reserve and have not formed an effective teaching mode of modern poetry,which leads to poor classroom effect,and the teaching and learning are hampered each other,which ultimately leads to the modern poetry teaching in prison.As a new reading teaching strategy,group reading is a breakthrough attempt for modern poetry teaching.Compared with the traditional single text teaching,group text reading can help students quickly grasp the main context of the topic,integrate relevant information,construct a knowledge system,and solve the difficulties in modern poetry teaching,such as implicit language,abstract image and obscure theme.Therefore,the study of modern poetry teaching based on the strategy of group reading is helpful to enhance the interest of teachers and students,get rid of the boring methods of modern poetry teaching,and open up a new vision of reading.This paper consists of four parts:the introduction part introduces the research background,purpose and significance of the topic,introduces the current research results from the theory and practice of group text reading,the teaching content,teaching problems and teaching strategies of modern poetry,and clarifies the specific concepts of group text reading and modern poetry.The second part discusses the practical possibility and necessity of group text reading strategy in high school Chinese modern poetry teaching from three aspects:Chinese curriculum standard,general situation of textbook selection and features of new poetry.The third part,based on the questionnaire survey,expounds and analyzes the application status of the group reading strategy in the modern poetry teaching of high school Chinese from the level of teachers and students.The fourth part gives methodological guidance from the aspects of topic setting,text combination and collective construction according to the current teaching status of modern poetry group reading.At last,the teaching design of modern poetry "The rain hidden in the poem" is attached in the appendix for reference.
