A Study On The Dilemma Of Mate Selection Of Male Youth Of Right Age In Traditional Agricultural Village From The Perspective Of Marriage Market Theory

Paying attention to the youth,caring for the youth,listening to their voices and encouraging their growth are the traditions of our Party.As a major problem in the youth development,the issue of youth marriage and love has been paid more and more attention to by the whole party and the whole society.In the current situation,youth marriage is not optimistic,according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics in 2016,the number of married single young people in the mainland has reached 200 million.In addition,under the influence of the family planning policy,the gender structure of China’s population is out of balance.For example,the sex ratio of the birth population in China was 108.47 in 1981,111.3% in 1990,and 118.2 in 2004,respectively.121.8.In recent years,the statistics are still above the upper limit of the normal value,which has led to a serious squeeze of marriage among men,especially in the vast rural areas,in addition to the high level of economic and social development after entering this century.The inherent mode of production in rural areas can not support the original social structure independently,resulting in the growing destitution of rural communities,which brings great pressure to the problem of young men in poor areas.In view of this,we think it is necessary to investigate the plight of young men of suitable age in the underdeveloped rural areas,so as to solve the problems faced by them.Through combing and summing up the related literature and research results on the plight of male youth’s mate selection at home and abroad,this paper investigates and studies the plight of male young men of suitable age in Linfen City,Jincheng City,Luliang City and Jinzhong City from the angle of sociology.This paper begins with the definition of the concept of "the plight of the male youth of the traditional agricultural village in choosing a spouse",based on the marriage market theory,the sexual strategy theory,and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 325 people selected from the above areas.Qualitative and quantitative analysis are made from the aspects of individual characteristics,family characteristics and the willingness to choose a spouse.On this basis,using the marriage market theory,from the marriage market and Demand preference analyzes the dilemma of mate selection of male youth in traditional agricultural villages.Through the above analysis,in view of the plight of the male youth of the traditional agricultural village in choosing a spouse,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of marriage market and demand preference:to accumulate exchange capital,to improve the competitiveness of mate selection,and to strengthen the guidance of the correct concept of love and marriage.To improve the pension system,to abandon the outdated concept of love and marriage,to advocate independent marriage and love,to reverse the concept of choosing a spouse,and to expand the scope of choosing a spouse,In order to solve the traditional agricultural village suitable age male youth mate selection dilemma.
