Cooperative learning is a learning style advocated by the new curriculum reform.It enables students to learn and explore the courses from a different perspective and in different atmospheres through the interactions between teachers and students,thereby enhancing the awareness of innovation and stimulating potentiality.The study of cooperative learning is conducive to the cultivation of students’ cooperation spirit and team spirit.cultivating a spirit of cooperation is a very important part of modern education.In today’s society,besides the individual’s competitive ability,good teamwork and division of labor can strengthen work efficiency and achieve better results.In addition,cooperative learning also contributes to the improvement of teachers’ abilities.In cooperative learning,teachers are not only spreading knowledge,but also guiding and facilitating the students’ learning.In interactions between teachers and students.The unique insights that students have acquired are also beneficial to teachers.Through the comparison between cooperative learning and traditional modes,the advantages and disadvantages of the two are summed up,the significance of cooperative learning for basketball teaching is discussed,and suggestions are put forward on the current methods of physical education teaching in China.This study will adopt literature methods,questionnaires,experiment methods and interview methods as research methods,taking the 2 classes of 30 male students in the first grade of basketball in the Sports School affiliated to Wuhan Institute of Physical Education as the research subjects.One class is the experimental class,and the other is the control class.Through two different teaching methods,the students’ physical fitness,basketball skills,social skills and learning attitudes are compared and analyzed,and the advantages and disadvantages of the two teaching methods are summarized.Conclusions are drawn through the above research methods as below:1.Both the cooperative learning and traditional teaching methods can improve students’ physical fitness.However,only long-term systematic training can make the differences clearer.Therefore,in this short-term teaching,cooperative learning and traditional teaching There is no significant difference in the effects on the physical fitness between the cooperative learning and traditional teaching methods.2.In the teaching of basketball in the Sports School affiliated to Wuhan Institute of Physical Education,the cooperative learning and traditional learning methods can effectively improve the levels of learning skills of basketball.However,in terms ofthe teaching effects,the cooperative learning teaching mode is better than traditional teaching methods,and there are significant differences.3.In the teaching of basketball in Sports Schools affiliated to Wuhan Institute of Physical Education,with regard to the development of students’ cognitive ability,the cooperative learning is more conducive to the students’ development of teamwork and social skills.4.In the questionnaire survey after the teaching experiment,we can find that the experimental class are more active than the control class,showing intense interests in basketball and highly praising the cooperative learning.5.In the process of cooperative learning,through active interactions,the relationships between teachers and students,and between students and students become more harmonious,a more relaxing and comfortable environment is created for students’ learning.
