The theory of cooperative learning emerged in the United States,with group cooperation as the basic form,the cognitive,emotional,volitional and skill development of students,multilateral interactive group activities as the basic characteristics,team performance as the basic evaluation basis,to achieve the development of students’ sports participation,physical and mental health,social adaptation and motor skills and other development goals of learning methods and strategies,the essential characteristics of the collective nature of basketball and cooperative learning implementation conditions and requirements.Therefore,it is important to explore the methods and strategies of implementing cooperative learning in the general basketball course in order to improve the teaching effect and quality of the general basketball course and to provide theoretical and practical references for the reform of basketball teaching in colleges and universities.Translated with www.Deep L.com/Translator(free version)This study explores a new way of teaching basketball through an experimental study of cooperative learning in the general basketball course of physical education majors in colleges and universities,and provides a reference for improving the quality and effectiveness of basketball courses in colleges and universities.After the comprehensive use of various methods: including literature analysis,survey research,teaching experiment,comparative analysis,mathematical statistics and logical inference,this study makes a comprehensive and profound discussion to improve students’ basketball skills,increase their learning interest,emotional performance and cooperative spirit,and adjust their attitudes towards physical education learning.Learning to teach and teaching to experiment by conducting a cooperative learning teaching experiment in a general basketball course for 2021 undergraduate students(42 students in classes 1 and 2)of physical education at Hubei University.The results of the experiment showed that.(1)Compared with traditional teaching,the implementation of cooperative learning in the general basketball course of physical education majors in colleges and universities can effectively improve students’ basketball skills,and is more conducive to the improvement of basketball skills and basketball tactical awareness.(2)Compared with traditional teaching,the implementation of cooperative learning in the general basketball course of physical education in colleges and universities did not significantly improve students’ basketball theoretical performance,which means that the two learning methods have the same effect.(3)Compared with traditional teaching,the implementation of cooperative learning in general basketball courses of physical education majors in colleges and universities is conducive to the improvement of students’ emotions,mainly in the areas of interest in learning,attitude toward physical exercise,affective performance and cooperative spirit and sense of responsibility,which indicates that the effect of cooperative learning on promoting students’ emotional development is better than that of traditional teaching.
