The rapid development of science and technology leads great changes in human society.Human's material civilization and spiritual civilization has reached an unprecedented new stage.But the price of human civilization is the natural and environmental destruction.Environment is worsen,and the problems of environmental are endless,this is the result that humans only satisfy their own desires,excessive damage to the environment and unreasonable use of resources.The world top ten public hazard events,various incurable diseases caused by environment pollution,the homeless people who lost their home because of environmental destruction,they have to go to other places to live.All of these are warning us to protect our environment.Thus,environmental education has risen to the world universal attention question.All countries have put out the corresponding policies and laws to protect their resources and the environment.Now appear in front of the leaders and the people are two big problems,development or protection,this is a dilemma choice,why we human beings will go to this step,a start with us not to conduct an environmental education have inalienable relations,since human can use tools,the earth was hurt scarred,early people go the way of treatment after pollution,later found out that governance is not originally thought so easy,so some people put forward the concept of sustainable development of the advanced,protection and development,sustainable development is the inevitable choice of mankind to continue to develop,also is the necessary approach to implementing the scientific concept of development in China,the middle school stage is the golden age of teenagers learn Accept ability and thinking ability is still in the stage of development,with strong plasticity,cultivate their environmental consciousness to catch the best time.To protect the environment,the establishment of environmental protection consciousness and strengthen environmental protection ideas,are the keys to improve the ability of environment protection.The youth is the golden age to learn knowledge andskills in one's lifetime.It is also a key time to train a person's character.In this period,strengthening the environmental education can achieve unexpected effect.Moreover,geography is a required course in middle school,and the environmental education teaching has to depend on geography.Middle school environment education idea is: let the students on the current environmental problems,to recognize the personal,social and natural relationship between the "environment",guides the student to respect the laws of nature,care about the environment quality,protect and improve environment;To encourage them to use different points of view to explain the environment problems and phenomenon;Make environmental consciousness deeply implanted itself,environmental protection has become a natural behavior;Cultivate their childhood have person to coordinate and the concept of sustainable development,thus effectively solve the current environmental problems in the future,.addition,through the questionnaire and student interview,we found that the environmental education in Xinjiang is urgent.To achieve the purpose of protecting the environment,we must spread the importance of environmental education in school and then to the society.The thesis mainly studied the present situation of environmental education in Urumqi,Xinjiang.We found some problems,and put forward some methods to solve them.
