A Study On The Social Support For Urban Disabled Elderly From The Perspective Of Social Work

China has entered an aging society.The problem of old-age care has caused widespread concern in the society.As a special old-age group,the loss of singleton female for the elderly,due to the early death of their only child,faced greater difficulties and challenges in their later years of life than other aged groups,and they needed more support and help from the entire society.From the perspective of social work,the author uses Social Support Theory and takes the F district of Beijing as an example to examine the current difficulties faced by the loss of singleton female for the elderly.And from the aspects of economic status,life care and spiritual comfort,the current situation and the existing problems of social support for the loss of singleton female for the elderly are analyzed.The study finds that the social support policy supported by the government in the F district is not perfect;the community support is lack of living care and lack of spiritual comfort;the support function of the family is weakening,the support of the family members is not lasting;the support of the neighbors and the peer group is insufficient;the volunteer service team is unstable and lacks systematic training;outstanding psychological problems,the loss of singleton female for the elderly lack of self-support and other issues,the social support network is very weak.On this basis,the author,based on the analysis of the needs of the loss of singleton female for the elderly,from two aspects of formal and informal social support,puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to build a social support system for the loss of singleton female for the elderly,in order to help them receive the social support.In view of the difficulties faced by the loss of singleton female for the elderly and their characteristics,this article carries out social work practice intervention by case work techniques.Through real cases,it reflects the living conditions of the old people and analyzes the resources in the environment of the service objects to help them build effective social support and to make the service objects reintegrate into the community and put the focus into their real life.Through the intervention of case work,the author summarizes and reflects on the experience and deficiency of social work practice intervention in the problem of the loss of singleton female for the elderly,and provide reference for the intervention of social work in the future.
