International Education Exchange Exploration Of Application-oriented Undergraduate Colleges

Based on the background of economic globalization and education internationalization,all nations in the world is putting more and more attention to develop international education.China is now under the adjustment of industrial structure and deep reform of society,Local undergraduate colleges,especially private colleges,are facing transformation.In the Guiding Suggestions of Local Undergraduate Colleges’Transformation(Exposure Draft),Ministry of Education pointed that local undergraduate colleges should put efforts on international exchanges and cooperation."We support pilot colleges to build cooperative relationship with overseas high-level universities of application-oriented technology,and to systematically introduce premium education resources,such as talent cultivation mode,cultivation standard,professional curriculum,and teaching material system.We support domestic undergraduate colleges of application-oriented technology to cooperate with oversea universities of the same kind,fully use the functions of application-oriented technology college league,and develop equal cooperation with overseas application-oriented technology college leagues and associations."This thesis was based on the research background mentioned above,took the author’s working place,Wuhan University of Engineering Science,as a starting point,combined the research results of international education of some other private colleges,summarized the current development of international education and exchanges,analyzed the obstacles that limited the development of international education,and discussed how to get a win-win situation both on economic side and education side.This thesis was written around the following aspects:The first part,this part mainly described the background and meanings of this subject research,and the current status and trend of domestic international education.Moreover,the author had made a literature review on this subject,and elaborated her research thoughts and methods in detail.The second part,this part defined what is international education and exchange.The author combined the researches of private undergraduate colleges in Hubei,summarized the main forms and current status of international education and exchange,and analyzed the main problems and reasons that restrict the development of international education and exchange.The third part,this part took Wuhan University of Engineering Science as an example,put emphasis on the reform assumption on the international education and exchange work of private undergraduate colleges,which is the foothold of this subject research.And the author also gave some suggestions on the international education and exchange work for those private undergraduate colleges that experiencing application-oriented transformation now.
