After entering the 21 st century,STEM education originated in the United States began to attract the attention of people all over the world.Under the trend of the global lack of polytechnic talents and the revision of the new course curriculum standards,it is required to properly integrate interdisciplinary knowledge and skills into practice in the subject teaching,especially “science,technology,and engineering.And mathematics,"STEM" is integrated into teaching.STEM education is an interdisciplinary education that integrates science,technology,engineering,and mathematics based on situation creation,engineering design,and project exploration.This kind of interdisciplinary education focuses on issues related to life,and students are trained to use the knowledge of different disciplines to solve the basic qualities of life problems.This paper first uses the literature method to sort out the development course,connotation and characteristics of STEM education.Then it designs a questionnaire to investigate the status of junior middle school biology learning in the four grades of junior middle school and secondary school of Lanzhou City A,and then analyzes and analyzes the questionnaire.Afterwards,two STEM experiments were designed for students' current status and requirements in biological learning.They were "bio-energy flow and nutrition health" and "brewing of wine--observation and application of yeasts",and were two of them.Classes practice.Take this practice as a case and carry out an analysis.In the practice process,the classroom analysis is performed using the observation method.After the practice,interviews and analysis of students are performed to supplement the research on the effect of practice.This thesis aims to explore the concept of STEM and integrate the STEM concept into the teaching of junior high school biology experiments.research shows:1.After students have studied the biology experiment based on the STEM concept,students' ability to understand the knowledge of biology and solve life problems has improved.2.Based on the STEM concept of biological experimental teaching compared with the traditional inquiry teaching,the teaching effect is better and the effect of improving students is more significant.Although STEM biology experimental teaching has good practical results,but also can not be separated from the support of schools and teachers,this study gives recommendations are:1.The school can perfect its experimental evaluation system and also provide STEM training to teachers and give them enough time for study.This is also conducive to teachers' development and practice of localized STEM courses.2.Teachers should change their concepts,re-understand the importance of experimental teaching,actively study STEM-related knowledge and continue to learn,and strengthen their own innovation capabilities.
