Calligraphy is one of the quintessence of China,which has attracted the attention of Chinese education and research circles in recent years.Calligraphy teaching aims at improving students' writing skills,and appropriately integrates the basic knowledge of calligraphy and calligraphy aesthetics.It lays a solid foundation for the development of calligraphy culture in our country.However,due to many factors,the effect of implementation is not very ideal.This study investigates and analyzes the problems existing in calligraphy teaching in primary schools.This paper probes into the improvement of calligraphy teaching in primary schools from the aspects of theory and practice.Based on the Chinese curriculum standards,calligraphy teaching characteristics and the psychological characteristics of primary school students,this study analyzes the problems in the implementation of calligraphy teaching in primary schools by using the methods of literature research,questionnaire investigation,interview and so on.Calligraphy teaching in primary schools has been carried out in most primary schools in Jinzhou,but there are some problems,which are mainly reflected in the simple content of calligraphy teaching,the single teaching method,the lack of teaching evaluation and the insufficient time for students' writing training.There are problems in calligraphy teaching in primary schools,which are closely related to teachers,students and parents.For example,teachers: enrich calligraphy teaching content,inherit calligraphy culture,improve calligraphy teaching methods,create learning atmosphere,increase calligraphy teaching evaluation and appreciate calligraphy,students: increase calligraphy training time,develop good study habits,The family pays attention to calligraphy edification.It is worth noting that because of the particularity of the people in class and the uniqueness of calligraphy itself,we should avoid exaggerating or neglecting the status of calligraphy teaching in primary schools,and handle the relationship between calligraphy teaching in and out of class.It is hoped that this study will provide a reference for the theoretical research and practical operation of calligraphy teaching in primary schools.
