| With the fast pace of urbanization in China,the problem of a large number of floating population has arisen.Along with it comes a huge group of floating children.How the floating children grow up in the city is directly related to the social stability and th eir development in the future.However,it is often difficult for them to realize the mul tiple growth and comprehensive development due to the lack of perfect social support system.At present,the researches on floating children mainly focus on their characters and problems they faced from the perspective of pedagogy and psychology.While there are hardly any researches on their multiple growth and comprehensive development and how the social workers get involved to help them.On account of this reason,this research is based on an example from Class 5 Grade 5 in the school for children of rural migrant workers in FuZhou,FuJian province.According to the surveys and the investigations,it is found that floating children’s bodily-kinesthetic intelligence,self-questioning intelligence,and Interpersonal intelligence are insufficient.Basing on this,social workers Guided by the theory of Multiple Intelligences pick up 8 students slow in these three kinds of intelligence from Multiple intelligence trait observation scale to take part in the Sunshine Star group and target on their pluralistic and socialization development to promote the three kinds of intelligence and all-round development,meanwhile,release their energy,develop their specialty and build their self-confidence,in which way,the floating children can adjust themselves to the society better.Besides,we explore the efficiency of children’s pluralistic development with the involving of group work guided by the theory of multiple intelligence,at the same time,think over how to serve the whole floating children at school better.The research adopts qualitative observations,questionnaire survey and interviewing method.And it is evaluated from the degree of objectives achievement,the process of group activities and the social workers’ reflection.Group members’ bodily-kinesthetic intelligence,self-questioning intelligence,and Interpersonal intelligence have improved obviously because of the group work’s intervene.And they set up the confidence and more easily achieve their multiple growth.The activity is orientated with the common problem of floating children.It owns intense feasibility and pertinence.So it can be generalized in the whole school and the migrant schools all over the country,to help more floating children to realize their multiple growths. |
