New curriculum can brings new ideas for the geography classroom teaching.At the same time,it can also provides a platform to develop the students' autonomous learning ability and exploration ability.In geography teaching in middle school,introducing geographical experiments into geographical classroom will show some geography knowledge that students can be difficult to understand to arouse students' interests in geography learning and to cultivate the students' experimental skills.However,in the geography teaching,how to evaluate the geography experiment teaching is not only one of the important problems of geography teaching evaluation research,but also a realistic and confusing problem that high school geography teachers are facing.As a method of evaluation,performance assessment gives consideration to both assessment processes and results.Performance assessment pays much attention to the evaluation in a real situation of the students' mastery of knowledge and skills.Geography experimental teaching puts students into a real and concrete situation.Geography experimental teaching employs the performance assessment not only to make more real evaluations of students,but also to conform to the new belief of the evaluation initiated by the new curriculum.This study regards a case of performance assessment in high school physical geography experimental teaching as the research object.This study explores some feasible methods making performance assessment in high school physical geography experimental teaching to provide some enlightenment and reference for geography teachers to make experiment teaching evaluation.In the process of study,firstly,the author uses literature research method to understand the research status of geography experimental teaching evaluation at home and abroad,to learn the relevant theories and methods of performance assessment and to analyze some literature about the experimental teaching,the performance assessment and case study.Then,the author does a case study based on relevant theories of physical geography experimental teaching performance assessment.Each case study is made up with five parts,including target design,task and evaluation design,case practice,analysis of evaluation results,practical feedback.Finally,the author draws a conclusion about the practice of the two cases.Through the in-depth study and summary of the case,the author comes to some conclusions about the performance assessment of the high school physical geography experimental teaching: the performance assessment of geography experimental teaching can be regarded as not only a part of the geography experimental teaching process,but also a teaching strategy;the performance assessment of geography experimental teaching just observes students in a real experimental situation to make a real evaluation of students' practical ability;to give students the opportunity to think critically and to let the students take part in the performance assessment of experiment teaching.
