For a long time,paper test has been the education evaluation system that occupies a dominantposition with its perfect technology,more objective and fair assessment and low cost.With thedeepening reform of new basic education curriculum,common high school teaching evaluationsystem is also quietly changing,and it is a consensus that sports curriculum is hard to be evaluatedby paper and pencil tests.But the existing of the quasi-experimental research about high schoolsports classroom performance assessment is extremely limited.Based on the above researchbackground,the core question of this paper studies is:Can the performance assessment promote theimprovement of students’learning achievement?Can it improve students’interest inlearning?Through the literature material method,experimental method,data analysis,the abovequestions will be answered.By the method of quasi-experimental research,using both the traditional evaluation and theperformance evaluation,to analyse two kinds of teaching methods different effects by calisthenicsperformance on the two groups of students50meters,800meters,basketballperformance.According to the results,found that performance assessment can improve thestudents’basketball and aerobics,but improvement of50meters,800meters is not obvious.On theother hand it can obviously improve the students’sports learning interest.So using performanceassessment In high school sports class is feasible and excellent.According to the experimental results,comes the following conclusions:Compared with the traditional evaluation,because it can stimulate students’interest inlearning,so the advantage of performance assessment in improving the students’interest in learningis obvious;Compared to traditional assessment,performance assessment due to change the student sportsstudy attitude,make the students are more willing to participate in sports activities;Compared to traditional assessment,performance assessment due to focus more on the contentof the diversity,and is able to promote the all-round development of students better.Compared to traditional assessment,the problems of performance assessment on thereliability,validity and practicability still need further research.
