Study On The Problems Of Singleton Female Parents' Endowment In Guiyang

Since the family planning policy had been operated for nearly 40 years,China had achieved unprecedented population reproduction type transformation,which not only created a lower population growth rate,but also made the country's economic and social situation greatly developed.With the change of people's pension concept and the policy of family planning,the conflicts between parents and children became more and more serious.As the executor of the one-child policy,the parents of the only child in the city began to step into the old age.How can this group of people enjoy their old age had became a problem that worth thinking about?In this study,the household survey of only one children in 200 households in the indistrict of Yunyan,Nanming and Guan Shanhu in Guiyang carried out through structured questionnaire and face-to-face interview.The author collected dates from157 only-child parents and 183 single children in the city by the questionnaires.Descriptive analysis and cross analysis were performed by using SPSS17.0 social statistics software.This paper discussed the current situation,the problems and the needs of the parents of the only children in Guiyang city,and the contradictions between raise their children,have their second child and support the elders.In addition,combined the status quo of Guiyang which is considered as the social development status of second-tier cities.As a result,the author tried to put forward the suggestion that can effectively promote the development of the parents' pension of the only children in Guiyang city.The investigation discovered: Although the role of family pension began to weaken,home-based care was still the first choice for people.The condition of self-care ability was one of the important factors that affected the choice of old-age pension.There were some parents of only children started to have the willingness of community pension,institutional pension and other emerging social pension modes.But community and social volunteer service needed to be improved.In the aspect of pension demand,the old people's need for children's spiritual comfort was more prominent than the demand for material support.The main content of the children's support was mainly in material support,but not fully considered the needs of parents' spiritual level.On the question of whether to have a second child or not,the parents and the only children were slightly opposite.Although parents wanted to have a second child,the only children worried about the decreases of pension effect of the two children after the birth of the second one.To solve the above problems,this paper suggested that the parents need to update the traditional concept of pension,children need to take the initiative to enhance consciousness of helping the old people,the society should establish and perfect the informally social elderly support system and improve the social security system.
