| At the end of the 1970 s,China began to implement the family planning policy,of which the one-child policy has produced hundreds of millions of only children.Along with our country entering an aging society,the parents of the only child’s pension problem has also gradually come into the public eye.Particularly in the small city that the economic development level is not high,pension infrastructure is relatively backward,endowment service industry development is not yet mature,parents of the only child’s pension problem become more prominent,especially in the imbalance between supply and demand of pension service.This paper takes Wangyi District of Tongchuan city of Shaanxi Province as an example to study the imbalance between supply and demand of pension services for the parents of the only child in small cities in China.Comparing with the non-only child parents in small cities,we can understand the pension needs of the parents of the only child and the local provision of pension services,and further analyze the imbalance between the demand and supply of pension services for the only child parents in small cities.Finally,we put forward relevant countermeasures to improve the provision of pension services for the parents of the only child in small cities,that is,to build a government-led support system of pension services for the single child parents in small cities,further improve the family-based,community-based and institutional ‘trinity’ pension service model in small cities,and build a multi-agent linkage pension service mechanism.This study can make some useful explorations for our country’s pension service and social security measures to be more detailed and further promoted,and provide some reference and experience for improving our country’s social pension service theory. |
