With the development of global economy,we have attached much more importance to English teaching.A prerequisite for the talents in China to be present on the world stage is their ability to communicate in English.However,English teaching in the middle schools in China is encountered with such problems as test-oriented teaching mode and inactive learning attitude,which lead to the situation of Dumb English.In recent years,the flipped classroom,as a new teaching mode,has become widely popular,and played a very important role in education area,and the relevant research became more and more hot.The author has studied a great deal of Chinese and foreign documents,researched into the current situation of flipped class room,and combined the middle school teaching conditions in China.Finally,the author proposed that the flipped classroom model applied to English teaching will help middle school students improve their English skills.Therefore,this thesis applies the Flipped Classroom in junior high school English teaching to answer the following questions: what are the problems before using Flipped Classroom teaching model and what are the challenges? How to apply the Flipped Classroom into junior high school English teaching? What are the effects of Flipped Classroom applied into junior high school English teaching? And what inspiration does it have for the future teaching reform?To verify the above assumption,the author has done questionnaire survey and observation with regard to English skill and learning attitude,using 169 students in an experimental class from A middle school as the teaching object.Meanwhile,the author designed and developed a short-term English course in the mode of flipped classroom based on the students' characteristics,and then put the course into practice.The author has been improving course design during the implementation process of flipped class through teaching practices.By this,the author aims at promoting the application of flipped classroom model in middle school English teaching.Based on this,the author found some problems and put forward the following suggestions: Firstly,applying the Flipped Classroom teaching mode,teachers can five full play to the advantages of collective lesson preparation,and conduct a group grinding lesson once a week to discuss how to make this lesson more exciting.Secondly,in order to improve the quality of English teaching,schools can carry outmore seminars on educational information technology training or modernization of education for teachers,and increase input,so that teachers of all ages can keep up with the pace of modern education.And school should ensure that the correct orientations is maintained in public opinion.Finally,teachers can share resources.This method can not only reduce the pressure of teachers,but also enrich the resources of teachers and improve the quality of teachers' lesson preparation,to improvement of the quality of education in China.
