Study On Exercises Of Two Chinese Learning Websites

With the rapid development of teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages online,various kinds of online learning videos and apps are emerging in an endless stream.Some scholars have conducted case studies and overview studies on Chinese learning websites,but the exercises have not attracted widespread attention.Therefore,in order to enable online Chinese learners to carry out systematic and scientific exercises,consolidate and strengthen knowledge,and cultivate communication skills,this paper chooses exercises of Chinese learning website as the research object.This paper defines the exercises of Chinese learning website,and analyzes its characteristics and advantages compared with the exercises of traditional textbook.According to the standard of complete and systematic courses,comprehensive courses,covering three levels and moderate courses number,two video courses are selected from the statistical video courses of Chinese learning websites.They are Contemporary Chinese of Confucius Institute Online and Begin Chinese Series of Echineseonline.After selecting the video course,I make statistics on the number and type of exercises,analyze the proportion of each class hour to the number of exercises,the distribution of the number and type of exercises,etc.Then from two aspects of language elements and verbal skills,I analyze the number and type of exercises in detail,finally I find that there are some problems in the arrangement of the exercises: in terms of the number of exercises,the scientificity of the number still needs to be discussed,distribution of number in different stages is unreasonable,and the number of each language element and speech skill questions is imbalanced;in terms of the type of exercise,the types of pronunciation and Chinese characters are few,as well as the t ypes of listening and speaking exercises,and lack of intellectual development and communicative exercises,as well as discourse awareness and interest.Finally,in view of the existing problems on the Chinese learning website,according to the traditional design principles and classification of exercises,as well as the characteristics of Chinese teaching online,I put forward some suggestions on the exercises of the Chinese learning website for the reference of the writers and researchers of the exercises of the Chinese Learning website.
