The Female Role In Yi Jian Zhi

There are a lot of stories with women as the main characters in Yijianzhi,which are very helpful for us to study the production and living conditions,daily communication ways,religious beliefs and other aspects of women in Song Dynasty.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the specific role played by women in yijianzhi.In the Song Dynasty,women were engaged in various professional activities at the same time with family as the main place of activity.In the family,women experienced three roles: being a woman,being a wife and being a mother.In terms of family status,women were divided into three roles: wife,concubine and maid.In terms of professional field,women’s roles included merchant,prostitute,toothcutter,witch,doctor,nun,etc.Women and society in Song Dynasty influenced each other.They participated in various social activities,including commercial economy,cultural education and daily communication.They made great contributions to the economic development,cultural communication,religious exchange,system operation and other aspects of the society in Song Dynasty.At the same time,there were some behaviors that had adverse effects on social development.From the activities of women’s roles,we can see some social customs and social thoughts in Song Dynasty,including women’s "chastity view","obscene style","religious thought","profit seeking thought",and some social problems formed on this basis,including "women’s business" and religious issues.
