The Research Of The Classifiers In YiJianZhi

YiJianZhi is the largest collection of ghost stories in Song Dynasty.Author is Hong Mai,who records each kind of story and legend according to other people's narration.The Colloquial degree is high,so it can basically reflect the appearance of language in the Southern Song Dynasty,and it has the very high value in Chinese history research.This article takes classifiers in YiJianZhi as the object of study,descriped and analyzed the classifiers from synchronic and diachronic perspective.And it summarizes the usage of classifiers in Song Dynasty.So I hope to do something for the research of the development history of Chinese.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter simply introduces Hong Mai and the research value of YiJianZhi.The chapter summarizes the present research situation about classifiers.Moreover it shows the significances and the methods of the study.The second chapter and the third chapter classify classifiers in YiJianZhi,and descripe it. Moreover we descripe the development of some classifiers.This is the main part of the thesis.There are 256 classifiers in YiJianZhi.At first,we divide these classifiers into two great kinds:noun-based classifier and verb-based classifier.Noun-based classifiers are 216. Verb-based classifiers are 40.Then we divide the noun-based classifiers into four little kinds:measurable-classifiers,individual-nominal-classifiers,collective-nominal-classifiers and temporary-classifiers.we divide the verb-based classifiers into two little kinds:special verb-based classifiers and borrowed verb-based classifiers.Each minor sort rests on its different characteristic to carry on the grouping again,then carries on the description and analysis.Not only we illustrate each classifier in the significance and the usage in detail,also launches the description to the partial classifier's evolution.The fourth chapter lists classifiers with the form in YiJianZhi,WuDengHuiYuan and ZhuZiYuLei.Then we compare with the three books,and conclude the characteristics of classifiers in YiJianZhi.Firt,we can see that the system of classifiers has been complete in YiJianZhi,although it has some limitations.For example,there arenot mixture-classifiers in YiJianZhi,but it exists in modern Chinese.Second,some emerging grammatical form about classifiers is uncommon.Classical language and Vernacular language exist in YiJianZhi. Third,vessel-classifiers have great many in YiJianZhi.
