A Practice Report On The Chinese Translation Of "Fundamentals Of Spacecraft"

In recent years,the exchanges between China and Russia in the field of science and technology have become increasingly close.As powerful nations in the aerospace industry,China and Russia have far-reaching prospects for cooperation in this field.The textbooks of the Russian aerospace major are practical,complete in content,logical,and have high theoretical and practical value."Fundamentals of Spacecraft" is a Russian textbook.The source language text mainly involves aerospace professional knowledge and has a distinctive style of scientific and technological Russian.The author firstly introduced the pretranslation preparation and analysis in this translation practice,further analyzed the characteristics of Russian-Chinese scientific and technological style and informative text.The main part of the practice report is comparative analysis of the source language and target language.This paper analyzes the guiding roles of word selection,semantic extension,and collocation on sense determination towards the understanding of word meaning from the lexical level,apart from which the author also discusses the necessity and related skills of voice conversion and complex conversion from the syntactic level,and summarized the translation theory and translation skills.Finally,the author summarizes the experience of this translation practice,and identifies the problems and deficiencies,finds solutions,analyzes own shortcomings,and demonstrates the importance of translation practice.
