The flipped class teaching mode originates from the teachings practice of chemical teachers in America,and their practices provide Chinese educators and teachers with rich practical experience.With the introduction of the flipped class teaching mode,more and more educators and teachers have been conducting the flipped class teaching mode in the teaching of various subjects,and certain good teaching results have been achieved.Whether the flipped class teaching mode can have some good effects on English teaching in China or not deserves researching.This research takes Shanggang Junior High School in Jianhu county as a case.An Experimental study is conducted in two classes of grade eight,and the study has lasted for a term.The study aims to answer two research questions: 1)Can the flipped class teaching mode enhance students' learning interest? 2)Can the flipped class teaching mode raise students' learning efficiency ? Pre-tests,post-tests,questionnaire and interview are carried out in two classes.The results of pre-tests,post-tests,questionnaire and interview show that significant difference exists between the controlled class and the experimental class in terms of students' English level.Thus it can be seen that practice of the flipped class teaching mode can raise students' learning efficiency and enhance students' learning interest.The study demonstrates that in the process of conducting the flipped class teaching mode teachers should design the teaching plan of each lesson carefully and should take students' cognitive level into consideration when designing the teaching video.The teachers need to improve the ability to control classroom.They also need to change the way of evaluating students.Moreover,the study also demonstrates in classroom teaching,teachers should organize teaching in a flexible way,making sure that attention has been paid to every student and certain good learning result has been achieved by each student.However,this study has some limitations,It only answered whether the flipped class teaching mode can enhance students' learning interest and whether the flippedclass teaching mode can raise students' learning efficiency,so in the further study the concrete ways of enhancing students' learning interest and raising students' learning efficiency through the implementation of the flipped class teaching mode should be researched.
