Research On Internship Problems Of MTCSOL In Chongqing University

The number of universities recruiting candidates for the MTCSOL programs has increased from 24 in 2007 to 148 by 2018.With the increasing number of colleges and universities offering MTCSOL programs,improving students' internship quality has proved to be a problematic.The "Guided Cultivation Scheme for MTCSOL" clearly points out that teaching practice is an important part of MTCSOL cultivation,but the "Guided Cultivation Scheme " is only a programmatic document,and offers no specific regulations for the practice.The methods adopted by each university regarding the internship are not the same,and the problems are different.Therefore,this study conducted a comprehensive survey of the internship practice of 110 universities with MTCSOL programs in China through questionnaires and interviews.The key survey subjects are the MTCSOL interns,guiding teachers,intern trainers,directors in the 2017 MTCSOL program of Chongqing University as well as teachers and some graduates of of Chongqing University from 2013 to 2016.The interview and questionnaires focus on the overall situation of teaching internship,internship mode,internship time,internship content,internship guidance,internship management,internship evaluation,and internship satisfaction of the students from the MTCSOL program.Through the analysis and comparison of the internship practice of MTCSOL program of Chongqing University with that of the MTCSOL programs in other universities,it is found that the common problems of the internship practice of MTCSOL program of Chongqing University and those MTCSOL programs of other universities are as follows: low overseas internship ratio,internship Limited channels,fixed internship forms,ineffective internship guidance,inefficient internship management,unreasonable internship content,low match rate)and peculiar problems remaining in the internship of Chongqing University(unreasonable internship time management,insufficient internship time,lack of supervision in the process,lack of sufficient understanding of internships,and inadequate use of resources).This paper probe into the crucial problems of the master's degree of MTCSOL in Chongqing University in the practice of internship,and puts forward relevant suggestions to improve the internship work of Chongqing University,and serves as a thesis reference for the practice of other MTCSOL in the country.
