Study On The Topic Selection Of Dissertations Of The MTCSOL(Chinese Students)at Soochow University

The dissertations of the MTCSOL is not only a concentrated display of year' s learning achievements of the MTCSOL,but also an important indicator to investigate the level of the Chinese international education.A comprehensive investigation and in-depth study of the writing status of the dissertations of the MTCSOL will not only help us to understand the current situation of the cultivation of the MTCSOL,but also help us to further adjust and optimize the cultivation program for the MTCSOL,so as to make the career of the Chinese international education become broader and smoother.This dissertation takes the dissertations of the MTCSOL(Chinese student)of Soochow University as the research object,and study in great detail on the topic selection of the dissertations.The whole dissertation is made of four parts.In the first part,it analyzes the evaluation criteria of the dissertations of the MTCSOL in Soochow University,clarifies that the topic selection should be closely combined with the practice of Chinese international education,to study the basic or frontier issues of Chinese international education and reflect the theoretical significance or application value.So this dissertation takes these standards as the benchmark and basis to analyse the topic selection.The second part analyzes on the type,the orientation,the nationalization,and the overall characteristics of the topic selection.It concludes six big advantages:rich choice of topics selection,attention to analysis of error,rely on Chinese textbooks as the basis,focus on problem orientation,serialization of topics,inheritance before and after the selection of topics.However,there are also three big shortcomings:over-concentration of the topic selection,the content of the topic selection is not novel enough,and the title of the topic selection is not accurate enough.The third part investigates and analyzes on the internal and external factors that influence the topic selection,and concludes that the factors such as curriculum setting,internship practice,tutor' s research direction,and training mode have a greater influence on the topic selection.In the fourth part,according to the existing problems of the topic selection and the investigation results,suggestions put forward from the three aspects of training unit,tutors and students,such as optimizing the curriculum of the major,focusing on the guidance of the student's topic selection process,and paying attention to the frontier issues of the subject,etc,in the hope of improving the quality of the topic selection of dissertation of the MTCSOL in Soochow University.
