| This paper takes a total of 1273 selected topics of theses on Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Shanghai International Studies University,East China Normal University,Fudan University,Jinan University,South China Normal University,and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies from2019 to 2021 as the research objects,and conducts the survey under the methods of investigation method,comparative analysis method,quantitative analysis and other research methods.This paper makes an investigation of the forms、contents and nationality of the theses from two aspects of synchronic and diachronic.The writing forms of the investigated papers are mainly divided into five categories: thematic research,investigation report,teaching design,case analysis and teaching experiment.The contents of the investigated papers are divided into five fields: Chinese teaching basis,Chinese teaching methods,teaching organization and classroom management,professional ethics and professional development,and Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication.Through investigation,it is found that the topic selection in the six schools has certain timeliness and regional characteristics.However there are problems such as concentrated writing forms,the unclear distinction between academic dissertations and professional degrees,lack of innovation,and duplication of topic content.In addition,after the coronavirus pandemic,research related to teaching resources has increased,the number of countries involved in research has decreased,and research related to online Chinese teaching has flourished.At the end of the article,suggestions are made on improving the quality of thesis topic selection from the sides of schools,supervisors and students.The school should explore the talent training model suitable for the school’s own development,optimize the curriculum,broaden the way of internship,and offer courses related to thesis writing;The supervisors should provide students with guidance on topic selection according to their own research direction and students’ characteristics,improve their professionalism and help students overcome the difficulties in selecting a topic of the dissertation.Students should consolidate professional knowledge,improve modern educational technology quality,pay attention to the academic frontier achievements and trends,and cultivate innovation wareness and innovation ability,reduce the negative impact of the epidemic on the writing of thesis,and improve the quality of the dissertation. |
