Report On E-C Translation Practice Of Africa Science Plan-Health And Well-being

The translation report is based on the E-C translation practice of health and well-being.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the report explores some English-Chinese translation strategies and techniques of social-science texts on health and well-being,which will help other translators to understand and learn from relevant knowledge.At the same time,such translation texts also can improve people's understanding and awareness of health and well-being.The translation material is entitled the Africa Science Plan-Health and Well-being,submitted on 5th March 2017,which is downloaded from the International Council for Science(ICSU).The translation report is composed of four parts.Chapter one is about the task description,mainly centering on the source material,its structure and characteristics,and the purpose and significance of the task.Chapter two and Chapter three are the main parts of this translation report.Chapter two presents the task process,which consists of preparation for translation,translation process and quality control.Chapter three is the case analysis,which mainly introduces some examples from the perspectives of lexical level,syntactic level and discourse level.Chapter four is the translation practice summary,demonstrating translation experience and reflection,as well as reflecting upon the problems to be solved.It is expected that the translation of the document will encourage people to pay more attention to health and human well-being,and also give other translators some suggestions on translation.
