| The translation report is based on the chapter three,from the book The Robot-Proof Higher Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.This book provides an updated model of higher education which will help educate and empower a new generation of creators,who can,through employing the technological wonders of our age,thrive in a society and economy transformed by intelligent machines.It also envisions a higher education that brings profound fruits to students even when they have begun their working careers,thus to assistant them throughout their lives.The report mainly discusses four translation strategies,namely,annotation,splitting,fronting and recombining under the guidance of functional equivalence theory.There are four parts in the translation report.The first chapter is about the background and the significance of the translation project.The analysis of the source text,including the author and the language features of the source text,makes up the second part.The third chapter puts forward the difficulties the author has encountered in the translation process and the usage of the translation theory as well as the methods to solve the problems.The last chapter is the conclusion of the translation report,which summarizes the gains and lost in the project.After finishing the project,the author concludes that annotation,splitting,fronting and recombining are useful techniques in translation. |
