The adverb "Ke" has rich meanings and usage in modern Chinese.In the sub classification,every sub class has close synonyms with similar functional meaning,and form different synonym fields.The ethereal meaning of the Chinese adverb in lexical,leads to the direct semantic research is not easy to distinguish,therefore,a comprehensive and in-depth study is very necessary,which can not only enrich the study of Chinese ontology,but also provide theoretical support for teaching Chinese as a second language.This paper based on the actual corpus,from several aspects,such as semantic,syntactic and pragmatic,combining the theory and method of comparative analysis,description and explanation.We focus on adverb "Ke" in different synonym fields,study the similarities and differences in the meaning and function of the internal words.The first chapter is the introduction,an meanings analysis of "Ke",which leads to the research object and scope of this paper.The previous study on the similarities and differences of "Ke" and its synonyms,including four aspects:the comparison between the modal adverb "Ke" and the synonyms,the comparison between the argument adverb"Ke" and the synonyms,the comparison between the emphasis adverb "Ke" and the synonyms,the comparison between the twist meaning adverb "Ke" and the synonyms.Besides,we introduce the research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter to the fifth chapter is the body part,in view of the four aspects in previous studies,we respectively analyze and compare the similarities and differences between the various synonyms,from the semantics,syntax and pragmatics.The second chapter is "Ke" as a modal adverb,compared with "Neng,Hui,Keyi".Semantically,these words express the ability and possibility,but each word has its own meanings.Syntax description includes the character of the sentence subject,the collocation of components,the negative form and their co-occurrence situation.Pragmatic analysis,mainly from the restrictions of syllable rhythm and the meaning of the speech acts.The third chapter,"Ke" indicates a contentious and argue tone,compared with"Bing,You,Cai".Semantically,these words negate the presupposition of sentences,but the types of the presupposition is inconsistent,resulting in their differences.Syntax,describing their elements,collocation with modal particles and negative words,and their co-occurrence situation.Pragmatic analysis the differences in the strength of the subjectivity and the writing style.The forth chapter is "Ke" emphasizing a high degree,compared with "Zhen,Duo,Hen".These words both mean a high degree,but also has the semantic features of their own.Syntax,they can either be a sentence or a sentence composition,and can match with other words.Pragmatic discuss the different focus type and the difference in the strength of subjectivity.The fifth chapter is "Ke" as a connection adverb,compared with "Keshi".They both have a twist meaning,but there are differences in syntax meaning.And the different syllable rhythm,also affecting their pragmatic effects.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,briefly summarizes the main contents of this paper,and puts forward the inadequacies of this paper.
