A Report On The Translation Practice:Fjord 2018 Trend Report

Accenture(Interactive Digital Marketing Services)is a leading global professional services firm which provides customers with strategic,consulting,digital,technical and operational services and solutions.Founded in 2001,Fjord is a design and innovation research organization of Accenture.With more than 1,000 design and innovation experts and 27 creative centers around the world,Fjord is committed to guiding people to redefine relationships with numbers and entities.Fjord 2018 Trend Report is a summary of Fjord's work in 2018.It summarizes the current status of market economy development and predicts the impact that artificial intelligence may bring to the market economy in the future.This paper takes the Fjord 2018 Trend Report as an example to study the translation style and techniques of translation,explore the characteristics of the words,sentences and discourse and their translation skills,with the aim of understanding the various translation techniques and approaches of scientific texts.This paper will use literature analysis method and comparative analysis method to summarize and analyze the translation features and techniques of the text.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part includes the background of topic selection,literature review and research significance,to provide readers with a general idea of the background information to the topic;the second part is the translation project introduction,which involves the details of the translation project,including translation tasks and translation standards;the third part is the overall description of the translation process,mainly in terms of pre-translation preparation and text interpretation.The pretranslation preparation includes text style analysis and data collection.The text interpretation analyzes the translation materials from three aspects: words,sentences and chapters.The author hopes that through this translation practice report,on the one hand,can help the author improve translation ability and grasp the overall planning of large-scale translation,especially in translation fluency and coherence.On the other hand,it is hoped that this project can provide useful information to readers in terms of the techniques in scientific translation.
