This paper makes textual criticisms and explanations on Mrs.Duan's Epitaph of Wuwei County and discusses its calligraphic style,simply explains the development of stone carving calligraphy in Tang dynasty and its related historical and cultural background.Research methods used here are mainly literature study,interdisciplinary study,image observation and other research methods,through the comparative analysis of the epitaph in the tang dynasty calligraphy,inductive the conclusion that "Mrs Tang period so Wuwei county's epitaph",as a representative of the middle and later periods of the tang dynasty epitaph calligraphy is still influenced by the style of Wang Xizhi.Specifically,the paper is mainly divided into five parts:The first part discusses the related issues of the epigraph.Originally,the epitaph serves the owner of the tomb and was buried in the tomb with fixed carriers.It is said that the earliest epitaph is the inscriptions of criminals used in the Qin and Han dynasties.Tombstones were banned in The Three Kingdoms period,so the epigraph began to be popularized.The eunuch rank examination and the position of Chang Shi in the province were the main positions held by eunuch in Tang dynasty.It is common for eunuchs to marry wives in the Tang dynasty.The system of “Jia Zi” in the eunuchs was adopted,and the origin of children of eunuchs was introduced.Because the epitaph mentions that the epitaph was made by a monk,the author found out that the relationship between eunuch and buddhist is very close,and the reasons for this phenomenon is complicated.The second chapter mainly narrates the family lineage of the epitaph owner and the daily life of eunuch in tang dynasty.The family lineage,life,children and the time background of the epitaph are recorded.The owner of the epitaph,Mrs.Duan,had six sons and four daughters with his husband.Eunuch in the place of birth is not more than all the punishment of the people,after the eastern Han dynasty due to the increasing palace inside the number of them,in order to avoid the towards the disorderly,waiter over all the punishment of the people gradually.At the same time,the trend of eunuchs marrying wives became popular.The third chapter starts from the overall style of calligraphy of the Epitaph,the calligraphy method,the engraving and painting decoration,and discusses the historical background and culture of the tang dynasty.In the early Tang dynasty,Li Shimin promoted the formation and popularization of writing style into tablet,which was also reflected in epitaph calligraphy.The author puts forward the assumption that Ji Wang Sheng Jiao Xu had a huge impact on the Epitaph,the compares the two works from the epitaph of the pen,the nexus of contracts,composition of three aspects,and at the same time the similar style of calligraphy.The fourth chapter explains the decoration of the Epitaph.In tang dynasty,the epitaph decoration mainly took plant flowers and plants,birds and animals as the main theme,and gradually incorporated the characters in the middle and late period of tang dynasty.With the political,economic and cultural prosperity of the Tang dynasty,the techniques of decoration engraving and painting were refined,skilled and crude.The epitaph of Mr.s Duan in Wuwei county of Tang dynasty is a representative work of the middle and late Tang dynasty.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole thesis.Through the discussion,we can know that the epitaph is an important burial product with practicability and history.Through the analysis of this stone carving work,we can further understand the important position of epitaph culture in the inheritance of Chinese national culture.Epitaph culture has important research significance in studying ancient customs,calligraphy,pattern decoration and other aspects.
