The translating project is derived from Crowdsourcing and Online Collaborative Translations,which is an academic monograph written by Miguel A.Jiménez-Crespo.The translator translates the Eighth Chapter into Chinese.As an informative text,the original text introduces the definition of crowdsourcing and online collaborative translation,indicates that there are close connections between crowdsourcing and many other disciplines.The book may play an important role in enhancing to popularize the model of crowdsourcing in the field of translation and guiding entrepreneurial innovation in our country.The purpose of translation is to deliver information of the report so as to provide references for crowdsourcing translation study.The translation is under the guidance of Text Typology Theory and its rules.By translating,the translator has demonstrated difficult points and translation methods.This report is divided into four parts.The first part mainly introduces the source of translating project,features of the text as well as difficult points and significance of the translation.The second part describes the process of translation,including preparation,translation and correction.The third part is a case study on translation methods of informative text under the guidance of Text Typology Theory.The last part is a summary which includes author’s ideas,enlightenment and expectation.The translator expects to provide certain reference for crowdsourcing translation development with the knowledge of translation.Meanwhile,the translator expects that this report can provide useful reference for other translators.
