A Comparative Analysis Of The Chinese Time Adverb "jiangyao" "jiuyao" "kuaiyao"

The object of the study is the adverbs of time“Jiangyao””Jiuyao””Kuaiyao”.Starting from the dimensions of synchronic and diachronic,three planes of grammar will also be discussed.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,main body is divided into three chapters.Chapter 1:The research situation is divided into two aspects:macro-way and micro-way.The macro-aspect is the summary of relevant contribution of the research from the research of time system,dictionaries,and the adverbs of time research.In the micro-aspect,there are two dimensions:synchronic investigation and historical evolution.Thus,the problems of systematic and comprehensive can be found.Chapter 2:A synchronic investigation is made to examine the synchronic differences in syntax,semantics and pragmatics of“jiangyao””jiuyao””kuaiyao”and”jiang””jiu””kuai”.Firstly,we examine the semantic differences between“jiang”“jiu”“kuai”.Secondly,we examine the differences in the syntactic and semantic meanings of“jiangyao”and other words.In syntax:1,syntactic position:“jiangyao”and other words can be located in the beginning and middle part of sentence,focus on the latter one.2,combination ability:modifier verb,“jiangyao”mainly modifies the strong action of autonomous verb and change verb,and the order of combination ability from the strong verb to the weak verb is:jinagyao>jiuyao>kuaiyao.Modifying adjectives can modify adjectives and mental or physical adjectives,and the order of combination ability of adjectives with mental or physical state is from strong to weak is:kuaiyao>jiuyao>jinagyao.To modify nouns,nouns must have intrinsic and sequential meanings,with the total occurrence of two adverbs and commentary adverbs as the two main ways.In particular,co-occurrence“jiuyao”often with short-term adverbs of“mashang”,and the time adverb co-occurrence,“jiuyao”“kuaiyao”often with speculative work and the euphemism commentary adverbs co-occurrence.3,Co-existe with the phrase contains time component.The co-occurrence ratio of“jiangyao”and frame like time structure is from high to low as follows:kuaiyao>jiangyao>jiuyao,and opposite way to phrasesand time components.The comparison found that“jiuyao…le”and“kuaiyao…le”.The differencies between them are the adverb of time,the time component of the table and the time point nouns.In semantics,explore three expressions,in the aspect of future tense expression,semantic adjectives modified and time expression with subjectivity.Thirdly,in pragmatics,the differences in the emotional color of the attributive verb and the choice of sentence types are made from the style color of"want"and so on.Style color,“jiangyao”written color is strong,while“jiuyao”“kuaiyao”oral color are strong.When the VP is modified as a attributive,“jinagyao”to modify the neutral meaning of the VP₂,while“kuaiyao”to modify the negative meaning of VP₃,"jiuyao"is between them.Sentence type selection,declarative sentence is a common sentence class,but the frequency of“jiangyao”for exclamatory sentences is far lower than“jiuyao”“kuaiyao”.Finally,summary and analysis,the“kuai”and“kuaiyao”explore the degree of justice for reasons of complement structure.Chapter 3:Evolution analysis diachronically.Take the grammaticalization process of"Yao"as a clue.The“jiuyao”and“kuaiyao”are clues to the grammaticalization process of“jiu”and“kuai”,and“jiu”and“kuai”come from the verbs and adjectives to the future usage in the Yuan Dynasty,respectively,and the time adverbs are developed in the Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty.
