Objectives:To observe the clinical effects of electro-acupuncture combined with Yijinjing in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. To observe its influence on VAS score,WOMAC score,TCM syndrome score and the TCM syndrome therapeutic effect of KOA patients in order to provide an effective method for clinical treatment. Methods:Sixty patients with definite knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into two groups:electro-acupuncture and Yijinjing combined therapy group(treatment group)and electro-acupuncture group(control group),30 cases each.Treatment group:choose Yanglingquan(GB34),Liangqiu(ST34),Zusanli(ST36),Xiyan(EX-LE5)and Dubi(ST35)of the affected side, use acupoint and nerve stimulator to stimulate Yanglingquan(GB34)and Liangqiu(ST34),choose continuous wave(frequency 2Hz,current 0.5-1.5mA),time for 20min.To treat twice a week, ten times in a row.To choose the fifth move and the twelfth move of Yijinjing with Hunyuan stance exercise. To exercise at home 30 minutes each time, three times a week, during the patient observation study, for five weeks. The control group was treated the same as the electro-acupuncture treatment in the treatment group. The changes of clinical symptoms and signs were observed and recorded in the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated by statistical analysis. Results:?Evaluation of the clinical symptoms and signs of knee osteoarthritis patients:there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).There were significant differences in the two groups in terms of VAS and WOMAC score before and after treatment(P<0.01);the difference of VAS and WOMAC score before and after treatment was statistically significant in the treatment group compared with the control group(P<0.05).?Evaluation of TCM therapeutic effect in patients with knee osteoarthritis:In terms of TCM syndrome score, there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group before treatment(P>0.05).There were significant differences in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.01).The difference of TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment was statistically significant in the treatment group compared with the control group(P<0.05);The TCM syndrome therapeutic effect:the total effective rate of treatment group was 65.38%,slightly better than the control group 60.00%;there was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome therapeutic effect between the two groups. Therefore, there is no difference in the TCM syndrome therapeutic effect by now,or the increase of the sample size is required for further analysis. Conclusions:Both the two treatments can improve the clinical symptoms of knee osteoarthritis pain, relieve pain, and improve the WOMAC symptom score and TCM syndrome score. The overall clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture and Yijinjing combined therapy is better than electro-acupuncture.Electro-acupuncture and Yijinjing comprehensive therapy have high degree of acceptance from patients and convenient clinical operation, and can significantly relieve the symptoms of patients, restore the activity of knee joints, improve mental state and social life ability, and provide new ideas for clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
