In China, the incidence rate of congenital heart disease(hereinafter referred to as "congenital heart disease")is 0.07%~0.1%,seriously endangering the quality of our newborn population.Especially under the background of current environmental pollution, the number of children with congenital heart disease is increasing.Only a few children suffering from congenital heart disease can heal themselves, but most of them require surgery to treat them, which puts great pressure on the families. The family members are always worried about the changes of the child's condition, handling all the complicated affairs in the process of child treatment. They have no energy to cope with life,no mood to communicate with others,no time to take care of their families. They need to bear pressure from all aspects, even with the symptoms of insomnia and anxiety. If the family members of children can be helped to understand the basic knowledge of congenital heart disease, master the knowledge of postoperative nursing, establish social support network and relieve anxiety,it is beneficial to rebuild their confidence in facing life, improve the happiness index of children's families, and further promote the harmonious development of society. The research object of this article is the family members of 9 postoperative children in the heart disease treatment center of Jiangxi X Hospital.Adopting the research methods of literature research, interviews and participatory observation, through the observation and interviews of the family members of the children and medical staff, the anxiety of the family members of the postoperative children, four main sources are summarized: lack of disease knowledge, lack of postoperative nursing knowledge, nowhere to resolve anxiety and weak social support network.Based on social support theory and social interaction theory, this study adopts group work method to help team members understand basic knowledge of congenital heart diseases, master postoperative nursing knowledge, learn methods of relieving anxiety, and establish social support network. This study has recorded in detail the development process of the group work, and summarized and analyzed the intervention effect of the group work. The results of thestudy have found that through the intervention of group work, the anxiety of the group members has been relieved, which means that medical social work can be effectively applied to the intervention of relieving anxiety of the family members of children with congenital heart disease after operation.Simultaneously, this study also looks forward to the development of medical social work.
