Objective:The meta-analysis method was used to analyze the difference in operation time, recurrence rate, and surgical complications of the two surgical methods for the treatment of adult popliteal cysts,so as to draw reliable conclusions, with a view to providing effective treatment options for clinical adult popliteal cyst Clinical basis and reference. Methods:According to the research purpose, establish and formulate a strict academic literature search strategy, search in PubMed,OVID,CNKI and other databases, the language is Chinese or English, and search for arthroscopic surgery and traditional open surgery for adult popliteal fossa in the past 10 years RCT study of cyst contrast.Screen the obtained documents and evaluate the quality. After extracting the data finally included in the study,RevMan5.3 was used for statistical analysis.Results:Finally,10 RCT studies were included.Of the 605 patients,300 patients underwent traditional open surgery(open group)and 305 patients underwent arthroscopic surgery(arthroscope group).A meta-analysis of the 9 observation indicators of the two groups of surgical methods: the results showed that there was no statistical difference in the operation time between arthroscopic surgery and traditional open surgery(P= 0.47);the intraoperative blood loss(P<0.00001),Incision length(P <0.00001),postoperative Lysholm score(P<0.00001),total effective rate(P <0.0001),length of hospital stay(P <0.00001),postoperative time to get out of bed(P <0.00001),recurrence rate(P = 0.002)In terms of P values, all are less than 0.05,with statistical differences.Regarding the incidence of surgical complications, the analysis results showed that the two groups had statistically significant differences(P=0.001),but further subgroup analysis revealed inconsistent results among subgroups. Conclusions:In terms of operation time, the difference between arthroscopic surgery and traditional open surgery in the treatment of adult popliteal cysts is difficult to assess. However, arthroscopic surgery is superior to traditional open surgery in terms of intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, time to get out of bed, incision length, postoperative Lysholm score, total effective rate, and recurrence rate.
