Aim: To compared clinical therapeutic effects of arthroscopic resection of popliteal cyst and traditional open posterior resection of popliteal cyst by investigating surgical incision length, operative time, postoperative complications, postoperative Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst classification and evaluation of curative effect and the recurrence rate of cyst. Methods: 40 cases of adult patients with popliteal cyst, admitted to our hospital from january 2015 to december 2016,were included.MRI examination showed that all patients had knee joint lesions, including half a month report, osteoarthritis and so on.Among them,18 were male and 22 were female.20 cases, including Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst grade: II grade 14 cases,6 cases of grade III,were used arthroscopic surgery;20 cases including Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst classification: 15 cases of grade II,5 cases of grade III were treated by traditional open surgery.Surgical incision length, operative time, postoperative complications,Rauschning and Lindgren to evaluate the curative effect and classification of popliteal cyst cyst recurrence rate were compared.Result:All patients were followed up for 6-9 months. All patients had no postoperative wound infection and joint infection, hematoma and other wound complications,no obvious complications of neurovascular injury, incision healing. The length of incision: arthroscopic surgery group:(3.2 ±0.8)cm,open surgery group:(8.5 ± 1.9)cm.Operation time: arthroscopic surgery group:(65.5 ±5.8)min,open surgery group:(62.6 ± 6.9)min.Complications: there was no incision infection or neurovascular injury in the two groups.Postoperative Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst grading: arthroscopic surgery group: 10 cases of grade 0,8 cases of grade I,2 cases of grade II.Open surgery group: 8 cases in grade 0,7 cases in grade I,5 cases in grade II.There was no postoperative recurrence in arthroscopic surgery group, while 3 cases in Open surgery group. In knee joint VAS score and activity degree of group A was significantly better than that of group B.Conclusion: Compared with the traditional open surgery, arthroscopic surgery has less trauma, faster recovery and can deal with the primary knee joint disease, reduce postoperative recurrence rate.
