Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy analysis popliteal cyst under arthroscopic treatment with open surgery. Methods:During September 2012 to August2014period, there were 45 cases patientsof popliteal cyst treated in our department.Male: 24 cases, female: 21 cases. 25 cases were in arthroscopic treatment group, which use arthroscopic treatment.whth Anterolateral knee Combined with Posteromedial approach, remove Popliteal cyst simultaneously Processing the intra-articular lesions, preoperative Rauschning and Lindgren cyst classification: grade II 18 cases, grade III 7cases.Open surgery group, 20 patients were used open surgery, preoperative Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst classification: grade II14 cases, grade III 6 cases. All patients underwent MRI of the knee and popliteal ultrasonography to observe the relationship between complications and tissue surrounding the cyst and popliteal knee. Preoperative and postoperative knee function were assessed in patients with Lysholm knee score recovery score.Comparison of the two groups of patients recovery of limb function, surgical incision length, postoperative cyst recurrence rate and other issuesbefore or after surgery. Results:All patients got 6-19(mean 12.5) months effective follow-up.All patients did not occur intra-articular infection, hematoma and other complications, woundhealing.Postoperative follow-up of patients with knee MRI examination showed no cyst recurrence. Lysholm score: Arthroscopic treatment groups:preoperative(49.56±8.07)points, after 10 months of follow-up(85.88±5.80) points; open surgery group: preoperative(38.55±7.47) points, after 10 months of follow-up(75.75±6.53)points,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Incision length: arthroscopic surgery group(1.31±0.18) cm, significantly shorter than the open surgery group(9.64±1.57) cm,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Postoperative by Rauschning and Lindgren popliteal cyst classification, arthroscopic treatment groups: 0 grade 15 cases, I grade 7 cases,II grade3 cases; open surgery group: 0grade 7 cases, I grade 5cases, II grade 8 cases. Limb function recovery rate: Arthroscopic treatment group(88%) and open surgery group(60%),P <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Conclusion:The effect of arthroscopic treatment. whth Anterolateral knee Combined with Posteromedial approach, remove Popliteal cyst simultaneously Processing the intra-articular lesions is satisfactory. Arthroscopic treatment compared with open surgery popliteal cyst, has small incision, rapid recovery of limb functionafter operation, can Processing the primary intra-articular lesions and other problems at the sametime.Compared with open surgery it is safer, with low rate of neurovascular injury, wound adhesions after surgeryis lower. This method compared with open surgicalsimply removal popliteal cyst has more advantages.
