Objectives:The purposes of our study were to establish the questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization, assess the ability level of the elderly of the elderly in senior care organization and investigate their rehabilitation needs, explore the rehabilitation needs of the elderly with different ability levels, and analyze the influencing factors of rehabilitation needs.Methods:1.The first draft of the questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization was designed based on the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory and relevant literature and expert interview; After 2-rounds of Delphi expert correspondence, the test draft was formed.Using convenient sampling, totally 150 elderly from 3 senior care organizations in Chaoyang District of Changchun were selected.Cronbach's alpha,Pearson correlation coefficient,Scale-level content validity index(S-CVI),Item-level content validity index(I-CVI)and exploratory factor analysis were used to test the reliability and validity of the test draft by IBM SPSS 24.0,Then the formal questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization was formed.2.Totally 430 elderly were selected from 10 senior care organizations in main urban districts of Changchun by random cluster sampling. The survey tools included the general information of elderly, the scale of ability assessment for older adults, and the questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization. The data was double input using Epidata 3.1,and IBM SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analysis: general information, the ability level of elderly, the rehabilitation needs of elderly in senior care organizations were expressed in terms of frequency, percentage,`X± S,The influencing factors of the rehabilitation needs need t test,one-way ANOVA,and multiple linear regression.Results:1.The questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization includes 18 needs in 4 dimensions. The total Cronbach's alpha of the questionnaire is 0.896,the total folding coefficient is 0.967,I-CVI is 1,S-CVI is 1,which indicates good reliability and validity.2.The effective sample size was 414,and the average age was(79.73±8.47)years.About 64.7% of the elderly were widowed,72.9% of the elderly suffered from one or more chronic diseases.3.Among 414 elderly, the prevalence of normal ability, mild, moderate and severe disability was 16.4%,59.7%,8.2% and 15.7%,respectively.4.The rehabilitation needs of elderly with normal ability focus on rehabilitation education, cultural recreational rehabilitation and physical exercise rehabilitation; The needs of elderly with mild disability and moderate disability for physical exercise rehabilitation are 87.4% and 94.1%,respectively;All elderly with severe disability need physical exercise rehabilitation and motion training, the score of physical exercise rehabilitation is 4.78±0.41 and the score of motion training is 4.48±0.50.5.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that factors affecting the rehabilitation needs were the ability level of elderly, the number of chronic diseases, dementia and economic source.Conclusions:1.The questionnaire on rehabilitation needs for the elderly in senior care organization has good reliability and validity, which can better reflect the rehabilitation needs of the elderly.2.The elderly have different rehabilitation needs with different ability levels. With the increase of disability degree, the rehabilitation needs in all dimensions also increased.3.The influencing factors of rehabilitation needs include the ability level of elderly, the number of chronic diseases, dementia and economic source, the impact of economic source on the rehabilitation needs is needed to further examine.
